The West Virginia Power welcomed the Hagerstown Suns to an night game at Appalachian Power Park.
The West Virginia Power earned a win at Appalachian Power Park, stopping the Hagerstown Suns, 5-1. Starting pitcher Anastasio Cabrera played a big role in his team's success. Cabrera got the win, improving to 1-0. He gave up 6 hits and walked 2 over 8 innings. He allowed 1 run. Esteban Vallés earned the save for West Virginia, his 13th.
West Virginia went up, 5-1, on Jody English's 2nd home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which English hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Hagerstown pitcher Rhett Walker shaking his head.
