Goose eggs were the order of the day for the Hagerstown Suns as starter Jim Barker shut them out, 13-0, at Municipal Stadium. The Lakewood pitcher struck out 4 and walked 2 while allowing 4 hits.

"Barker was good but he wasn't flawless," Hagerstown manager Lonnie Chisenhall said. "We had a few opportunities to make something happen and we didn't do it. Not to take anything away from Lakewood, but this is on us."
