The Lakewood BlueClaws picked up a win at Municipal Stadium, knocking off the Hagerstown Suns, 8-0. Starting pitcher Manny Antúnez played a key role in the triumph. Iván Núñez closed it out for his 1st save. The second-place BlueClaws have won 5 straight games.

Lakewood right fielder Jim Peterson helped the BlueClaws go up, 1-0, in the top of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Peterson hit a run-scoring single off Hagerstown pitcher Jim Richmond.

"It's always nice to be on the winning side," Peterson told the Lakewood Chronicle. "But we take nothing for granted."
