Savannah wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Ron Moloney, falling to the Delmarva Shorebirds, 2-0. Moloney threw 8.2 innings allowing 2 runs for the losing team. Waylon Ellis earned the save for Delmarva, his 6th. Delmarva has a record of 8-9.

Delmarva used a well-timed hit by Manny Salinas to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Shorebirds ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"Not too many highlights on our side," said losing manager Tyler Colvin.
