Sand Gnats Hand Delmarva 4-2 Loss
Savannah Sand Gnats starter Ed Harvey turned in a top-notch performance against the Delmarva Shorebirds at Grayson Stadium. The result was a win for the Sand Gnats, 4-2. Luis Lucero nailed down his 4th save. The Shorebirds fall to 7-9 and continue their uneven start to the 2026 season.

The Sand Gnats got a big at-bat from third baseman Curt Thompson. For the game, Thompson went 3-4 with 2 doubles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run double. His 4th double of the season gave Savannah a 2-0 lead.

"We did enough to win," said Harvey.
