Guerra Swings Suns to 10-5 Win
Fans were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Hagerstown Suns take on the Savannah Sand Gnats.

The Hagerstown Suns topped the Savannah Sand Gnats, 10-5, with youngster António Guerra playing a key role. Guerra was 4 for 4 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3 for the Suns in the win. The winner in relief was Mike Richards. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 4 hits in 4 innings. He now owns a record of 1-0.

Early in the game, first baseman José Macías had a 2-run double for Hagerstown. It was his 3rd double of the season and put the Suns on top, 2-0.

"We maximized our offense today," said Hagerstown skipper Lonnie Chisenhall. "That makes everyone's life easier."

Savannah, with the loss, is still a stout 11-2.
