BlueClaws Deal Hagerstown 7-5 Defeat
|
No one was more impactful than Dave McIntyre in the 7-5 Lakewood win over Hagerstown. McIntyre went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Chris Malone picked up his 2nd save of the season. With the loss, Hagerstown sinks to 2-5.
Zach Mills had a big solo home run for the BlueClaws in the bottom of the third inning. With Lakewood leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he got a fastball from Bob Johnson and swatted a home run to left. It was his 2nd home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the BlueClaws ahead, 2-0.
"They had a good approach," Hagerstown skipper Lonnie Chisenhall said of the opposition. "Hats off to them."
