López Goes 5-for-6 Against Seattle (VSL) Wednesday, August 6th , 2025 Juan López exploded for a barrage of base hits at VSL Mariners Complex. The Tampa Bay (VSL) left fielder had a field day in his team's 9-4 triumph over the Seattle (VSL) Mariners, finishing 5-for-6. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." López must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Juan López singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Doug Haughey in the 7th, hit a solo-shot off Edwin Jordan in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th. So far this season, López is hitting .361 with 7 home runs, 25 RBIs and 24 runs scored. He has 43 hits in 119 at-bats and a .417 OBP. View Boxscore |
