DSL Loses Hernández for 8-9 Months Monday, September 14th , 2026 Steve Hernández had hoped for the best, but expected the worst. Today, he learned from the DSL medical staff that he would miss the rest of the season. The DSL starting pitcher suffered a stretched elbow ligament in an earlier ballgame. He admitted to being discouraged, but said he plans to come back strong next year. This season, Hernández has rung up 2 wins and 2 losses in 7 games. He has an ERA of 3.72 and has fanned 49 batters in 38.2 innings. |
