DSL Player of the Week Awarded Monday, September 14th , 2026 Jimmy Gaines burst onto the Dominican Summer League stage in a big way last week. This promising rookie shortstop for DSL garnered everyone's respect by putting up some remarkable numbers and picking up the Player of the Week trophy. The 19-year-old haunted opposing pitchers hitting .818 (9-for-11) with 3 home runs and 9 RBIs last week. This season, Gaines has banged out 26 hits in 68 at-bats for a .382 average with 5 home runs. He is getting on base at a .470 pace and his totals also include 22 RBIs and 14 runs scored. |
