Cubs Stone Named DSL's #1 Player Monday, September 7th , 2026 It was an extraordinary week for Doug Stone of the DSL Cubs. First he goes on a hot hitting streak, batting .481, then he is voted the Player of the Week in the Dominican Summer League. Last week Stone went 13-for-27, racked up 3 home runs and 8 RBIs and scored 10 runs. It was a heck of a week for the DSL shortstop. This year, Stone is hitting .308, produced 28 RBIs and 7 home runs, scored 27 times and gotten on base at a .379 rate. |
