DSL's Best Player Selected, It's Ruíz Tuesday, October 7th , 2025 Jesús Ruíz took Dominican Rookie League by storm this year, and he did it all at the age of 26. For his spectacular campaign, the Detroit (DSL) Tigers star has been named the 2025 Dominican Rookie League Most Valuable Player Award recipient. "To be considered amongst the best in the league is overwhelming," said the third baseman. On the season he compiled a .528 batting average to go with a .590 on-base percentage. The native of Emerson, New Jersey also added 27 doubles, 8 triples, 6 home runs, 50 RBIs and 53 runs scored. He received 20 first place votes out of a possible 36.
