Playoff Win Advances New York N 2 (DSL) to Next Round Monday, September 8th , 2025 The stakes were high at New York Mets Complex today as two Dominican Rookie League clubs looked to advance in the quest toward the League Series. In the end, the New York N 2 (DSL) Mets 2 knocked off the Atlanta (DSL) Firebirds in the Wildcard Series, by a score of 4-2. After the one-game playoff win, the team will move on to the Division Series. "We never stopped believing," said New York N 2 (DSL) third baseman Lyndon Morrison. "All season long we expected to be going deep in the playoffs and we still feel that way. We're going to be a tough team for anyone to handle in the playoffs." Morrison went 4-for-4 in the win and took home the game MVP award. Blake Wood, manager of the Firebirds, said he was proud of his club's efforts and said he believed that, with a few more breaks, it could have been his club advancing. The New York N 2 (DSL) Mets 2 will play against the Houston 1 (DSL) Astros Blue in the next round. Houston 1 (DSL) won their series against the Detroit (DSL) Tigers.
