Toronto (DSL) Stops Thompson Hit Streak Thursday, September 4th , 2025 It was a doubly miserable day for Greg Thompson of the New York N 2 (DSL) Mets 2, as he saw his 26-game hitting streak end and his team lose, 6-2, to the Toronto (DSL) Blue Jays at New York Mets Complex. The 23-year-old center fielder was held hitless in 4 at-bats by the Blue Jays. "Anyone on a 26-game hitting streak is going to be a tough out," Toronto (DSL) manager Edwin Encarnacion said later. "But we had a plan and we were careful about it, and got it done." In his season totals, Thompson has 1 home run, .338 BA, .394 OBP, 15 RBIs and 46 runs scored. He has played in 62 games. |
