McCarthy Keeps Hit Streak Alive Tuesday, September 2nd , 2025 Chalk up another one for Baltimore (DSL) Orioles 1 shortstop Jeff McCarthy. He now has hit in 20 straight games. McCarthy went 2-for-4 in today's game at Academia de Prospecto Complex but saw his club defeated, 4-2, by the host Miami (DSL) Marlins. "Playing on the road always makes it harder to get hits and to get wins," Orioles 1 manager Omar Ramirez said after the game. "We got one of the two, but unfortunately it was the wrong one." Jeff McCarthy singled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, struck out in the 6th, singled in the 8th and walked in the 9th. So far this year, McCarthy is hitting .428 with 11 home runs. |
