Hitting Streak Still Alive for Thompson Tuesday, September 2nd , 2025 The New York N 2 (DSL) Mets 2 stopped the Toronto (DSL) Blue Jays, 7-4, and Greg Thompson collected a base hit yet again. The New York N 2 (DSL) center fielder finished with 2 hits to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 25. "I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited Thompson told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games." Greg Thompson singled in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th and singled in the 8th. Thus far this year, Thompson is hitting .340 with 1 home run, 15 RBIs and 45 runs scored. |
