Colorado (DSL) Beats Seattle (DSL) as Jacobs Throws 1-0 Shutout Thursday, August 28th , 2025 Colorado (DSL) Rockies starter Steve Jacobs really did a number on the Seattle (DSL) Mariners, shutting them out, 1-0, on 5 hits in a complete game victory. He issued no walks and had 9 strikeouts. "We didn't have good at-bats," said Seattle (DSL) manager Ruben Escalera. "I don't make excuses, but when we were playing the game, our energy didn't show. That comes from either extremely good pitching or extremely lousy hitting and seeing as our team has a bunch of good hitters, I have to tip my cap to Jacobs."
