Rays 2B Lugo Gets the Cycle Monday, August 4th , 2025 Finishing with 4 hits is a great day for any player, but José Lugo made it even more special by hitting for the cycle at Tampa Bay Rays Complex. Lugo had 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run for the Tampa Bay (DSL) Rays and led them to a win, 8-2, over the New York A (DSL) Yankees 1. The second baseman also finished with 2 runs scored and 3 runs batted in. "Awesome," Lugo said when asked how the accomplishment felt. José Lugo doubled in the 1st, tripled in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Jesús Gutiérrez in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
