MacIntosh and Cabral Brawl, League Suspends Them Tuesday, August 29th , 2023 After an intense confrontation, both the Angels Mike MacIntosh and the Tigers José Cabral were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Los Angeles (DSL)-Detroit (DSL) game. Mike MacIntosh will miss 3 games, while José Cabral was suspended for 7 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Mike MacIntosh commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." This year MacIntosh is hitting .318 with 8 home runs and 22 RBIs in 42 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .413 with 10 walks and 17 runs scored. Presently Cabral has a 1-3 mark in 8 starts with a 5.08 ERA. He has given up 46 hits in 39 innings, struck out 45 and issued 10 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .289 batting average against him. |
