Thompson Goes 5-for-5 Tuesday, August 5th , 2025 It was a parade of hits for Brendan Thompson of the Milwaukee (AZL) Brewers at Maryvale Baseball Park. Connecting with regularity, Thompson finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but the White Sox rose to the occasion and rained on his parade by winning the game, 18-10. "Thompson was really good, we were just a little better," said White Sox manager Jared Hughes in the postgame interview. "It's all right with me if he gets 5 hits every game against us, as long as we win." Brendan Thompson doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Joe Wakeham in the 5th and singled in the 7th.
