Diamondbacks McLeod Smacks 5 Hits
Thursday, July 17th , 2025
There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day.
Travis McLeod is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-7 against the Los Angeles A (AZL) Angels at Tempe Diablo Stadium. The monster effort from the 20-year-old third baseman helped the Arizona (AZL) Diamondbacks get the win, 24-3.
"We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Angels manager Efren Navarro. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today."
Travis McLeod flied out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Walt Gregory in the 4th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Walt Gregory in the 5th, struck out in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
For the year, McLeod is batting .299 with 4 home runs.
