Lester Leads Charleston to 4-0 Win Over Rome Saturday, September 12th , 2026 In a remarkable performance, Charleston RiverDogs starter Stan Lester beat the Rome Hammers, 4-0, in an impressive 5-hit shutout. "My arm felt good, mechanics were good and my stuff was working," he said later. "It doesn't get any better than this." The RiverDogs hurler finished with 10 strikeouts and 1 walk. He showed pinpoint control and a sharp fastball. "It was a rough one for my guys," Rome manager Aaron Holbert said, following the game. "We weren't at our best and their guy was."
