Holman Shuts Out Rome, 5-0 Friday, July 24th , 2026 Walt Holman bent a little, but he didn't break against the Rome Hammers. The Charleston RiverDogs pitcher hurled a 5-hit, 5-0 shutout in a fine performance, surrendering no walks and tallying 6 strikeouts. "Walt is good at getting out of jams," RiverDogs manager Brian Rupp told reporters after the game. "He's almost more effective when he gets guys on base or gets behind in the count, because he uses your aggressiveness against you."
