Padua Stops Augusta Cold, RiverDogs Win, 2-0 Sunday, July 5th , 2026 The Augusta GreenJackets were almost helpless in their 2-0 loss to the Charleston RiverDogs and hurler Omar Padua. Padua kept the GreenJackets confused all game, spinning a 5-hit shutout. "Tip your hat to Padua," Augusta manager Troy Tulowitzki said in a postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night." The 23-year-old right-hander had no walks and 14 strikeouts in a strong performance. "It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Padua said. "It was just one of those games that things went my way." So far this year, Padua has a 6-8 record with a 4.11 ERA. View Boxscore |
