Kannapolis-Charleston Brawl, Davis and Tugai Suspended Saturday, August 16th , 2025 After an intense confrontation, both the Intimidators Tony Davis and the RiverDogs Serhan Tugai were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Kannapolis-Charleston game. Tony Davis will miss 2 games, while Serhan Tugai was suspended for 6 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Tony Davis commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." This year, Davis is hitting .245 with 6 home runs. This year, Tugai has no relief appearances with no saves, 4-12 season record and a 5.63 ERA. He has hurled 148.2 innings, given up 195 hits, struck out 114 and walked 45. Opposing clubs have batted .316 against the Charleston reliever. |
