SAL's Star Player Named Monday, August 11th , 2025 Augusta fans had a lot to cheer about this week as first baseman Billy Downs brought home the South Atlantic League Player of the Week trophy. During his week-long batting binge he reeled off a .414 batting average, 12 hits and 2 home runs. Downs also racked up 10 RBIs and scored 4 runs. Downs is batting .362 this year with 2 home runs, 14 RBIs and 10 runs scored. He has 25 hits in 69 at-bats. |
