5-Hit Blitz by Bennett Wednesday, July 9th , 2025 There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day. Jeremy Bennett is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-6 against the Charleston RiverDogs at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park. The monster effort from the 24-year-old shortstop helped the Augusta GreenJackets get the win, 11-1. "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said RiverDogs manager Brian Rupp. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today." Jeremy Bennett hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off António Ordiales in the 9th.
