Whitecaps Move on to Round 2 Sunday, September 13th , 2026 It was a sweet sweep for the West Michigan Whitecaps as they eased past the Bowling Green Hot Rods to advance to the Round 2. West Michigan won the final game by a 13-2 count and the series 3-0. "We're just fortunate to get through it quickly and be able to rest up for the next series," said Joe Jacobs, who was named series MVP. For the series, Jacobs hit .500 with a .500 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 8 RBI and scored 4 runs. The West Michigan Whitecaps will play against the Cedar Rapids Kernels in the next round. Cedar Rapids won their series against the Beloit Snappers 3 games to 0. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. View Boxscore |
