MID News Flash: Regular Season ends Wednesday, September 9th , 2026 For the majority of the Midwest League ballclubs, they will have to wait until next year to make the playoffs. They missed their chance this year and will be spending the offseason living the good life and also getting ready for next year, when hope always springs eternal. But for a few select teams, they are still in the hunt. They have made the playoffs. This is their day in the sun. This is their chance to win league championship.
