Hickman Smacks 5 Hits for River Bandits Thursday, July 23rd , 2026 Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the Quad Cities's 8-3 win over South Bend, shortstop Kevin Hickman was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Stanley Coveleski Regional Stadium. "To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Hickman said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close." Kevin Hickman singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Randy Nelson in the 7th and doubled in the 10th.
