Cuervo Torches Hot Rods for 5 Hits Friday, July 10th , 2026 Norberto Cuervo got the glory and the headlines, but the Bowling Green Hot Rods left with the win. The Fort Wayne right fielder easily handled the Hot Rods pitching, going 5-for-5, but his Fort Wayne TinCaps came out on the short end of the 6-5 score. Cuervo told BNN reporters in the postgame interview he would happily trade "three or four" of his hits for a win. "Heck, maybe even all of them," he said with a laugh. "Right now, it just seems like one loss in a long season but who knows what it could mean at the end."
