Williams Hits in 20 Consecutive Games Wednesday, July 8th , 2026 Ernie Williams, left fielder for the Quad Cities River Bandits, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games with 3 hits in his club's 9-0 victory over the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers at Neuroscience Feild at Fox Cities Stadium. "Not the outcome we wanted," Wisconsin manager Matt Walbeck said. "There's never a good time to lose, and it's never fun to be on the wrong end of somebody else's accomplishment." Ernie Williams struck out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off José Sánchez in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. At the moment, Williams is hitting .295 with 4 home runs and 26 RBIs. He has played in 70 games and scored 40 times. |
