Big Day with Bat: Palma 5-for-7 Monday, September 8th , 2025 Bees shortstop Claude Palma had his way with Quad Cities pitching at Community Field and mauled them for 5 hits in 7 at-bats. His efforts were all in vain, though, as the River Bandits ruined his great day by toppling the Bees, 4-3. "I had a great day, but you've got to give Quad Cities credit, they did what they had to do to win," he told reporters after the game. "They weren't very impressed with my 5 hits." "Oh, we noticed what Palma did today," River Bandits skipper Takanobu Sato said. "He had quite a game. I can tell you this, we will pitch him a little differently the next time we face him." Claude Palma doubled in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, flied out in the 6th, singled in the 8th, singled in the 10th, singled in the 12th and flied out in the 14th.
