Schmidt Tames Clinton Saturday, September 6th , 2025 Peoria Chiefs starter Chad Schmidt really did a number on the Clinton LumberKings, shutting them out, 5-0, on 11 hits in a complete game victory. He issued 2 walks and had 7 strikeouts. "We didn't have good at-bats," said Clinton manager Clay Buchholz. "I don't make excuses, but when we were playing the game, our energy didn't show.
