Great Lakes-Lake County Free-for-All Gets 2-Game Suspensions Friday, August 15th , 2025 When fights happen, suspensions are not far behind. That axiom was held to be true today when Great Lakes's Jerry Peters and Lake County's Alfredo Gonzáles were given a temporary vacation from the game, courtesy of the league commissioner's office. They both were suspended for 2 games for their actions in a recent ruckus between the two teams. Both benches cleared when Peters charged Gonzáles. Both players have accepted their fate and will begin serving their suspensions immediately. Neither would talk to reporters about the confrontation. Peters on the season is batting .278 with 1 home run. His totals include 36 RBIs and 26 runs scored. He has played in 85 games. Gonzáles has taken the mound for 17 relief appearances this season, nailing down no saves while notching a 1-1 record with a 6.29 ERA. The Lake County reliever has limited opposing batters to a .342 batting average. |
