Snappers, Johnson Blank Cedar Rapids, 1-0 Wednesday, July 9th , 2025 Goose eggs were the order of the day for the Cedar Rapids Kernels as starter Dave Johnson shut them out, 1-0, at Harry C. Pohlman Field. The Beloit pitcher struck out 9 and walked 1 while allowing 5 hits. "Johnson was good but he wasn't flawless," Cedar Rapids manager George Trenwith said. "We had a few opportunities to make something happen and we didn't do it. Not to take anything away from Beloit, but this is on us." Up to now Johnson has recorded a record of 7-3.
