Saturday, July 5th , 2025
Some moments become linked with a particular player's career forever. Ron Anderson of the Clinton LumberKings had one of those moments when he went 5-for-6 at the plate in his team's 11-0 win over the Cedar Rapids Kernels at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
"I won't forget this anytime soon, and I don't expect it to happen too often," the 23-year-old right fielder told reporters in the postgame interview. "I'll be happy to just get a hit or two every day. Enough to hang around the league a while longer. Like 10, maybe 15 more years."
Ron Anderson flied out in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit a three-run home run off Joe McLean in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
Currently Anderson is hitting .257 and has collected 1 home run, 17 RBIs and scored 18 times, while playing in 57 games.
