West Michigan-Kane County Brawl, Duffy and Valéncia Suspended Saturday, May 17th , 2025 If there wasn't a history between Jim Duffy of West Michigan and Leonardo Valéncia of Kane County, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 4 and 8 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Duffy said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." This season, Duffy is hitting .333 with 21 hits, 3 home runs, 17 RBIs, scored 11 runs and played in 19 games. Valéncia has taken the mound for 7 relief appearances this season, nailing down 1 save while notching a 0-0 record with a 19.89 ERA. The Kane County reliever has limited opposing batters to a .444 batting average. |
