Clinton Beats Peoria 6-1, Briddon Ks 17 Wednesday, August 23rd , 2023 Clinton LumberKings starter Mike Briddon brought his best stuff to Dozer Park today against the Peoria Chiefs, striking out 17 batters in his club's 6-1 victory. In a strong performance, the 23-year-old Briddon gave up 4 hits in his 8.1 innings of work and issued 2 walks. "I felt good out there," he said after the game. "My fastball had a lot of life and my cutter was sharp. It was giving hitters fits and working well for me." Over the season Briddon has thrown 181 innings and dished out 215 strikeouts with a 12-10 mark and a 2.88 ERA. View Boxscore |
