Injury Shuts Down Riley for Season Tuesday, July 14th , 2026 The news was not unexpected, but that didn't make it easier to accept for the Daytona Tortugas: reliever Rob Riley is out for the year. Riley suffered a torn flexor tendon in his elbow on 07/12/2026. The team knew that the chances of seeing him return were slim to none. But today it was made official. His stats sheet for the year shows Riley has managed to hold opponents to a .275 average in 13 relief appearances, while putting up 1-0 record with 13 strikeouts and 6 walks in 23 innings. He has a 2.35 ERA with no saves. |
