League Gives Parker Suspension
Sunday, April 26th , 2026
The St. Lucie Mets were officially notified that first baseman Deron Parker had been suspended for an altercation that occurred in yesterday's game with the Marauders at Calvin Falwell Field. After arguing a called third strike by the plate umpire, an enraged Parker threw his batting helmet toward home after he reached the dugout.
That action got him ejected and a 4-game suspension.
"I threw the helmet and I shouldn't have. But I don't deserve the suspension. It was a bad call that started this whole mess."
Parker on the season is batting .438 with no home runs. His totals include 1 RBIs and 9 runs scored. He has played in 10 games.
