25-Game Hitting Streak for Holmes Tuesday, August 5th , 2025 With 2 hits at Bright House Field, Brad Holmes added another game to his hitting streak -- the Brevard County first baseman has now hit safely for 25 games in a row. But the hitting feat wasn't enough for the Manatees, as they fell, 10-7, to the Clearwater Threshers. "Frankly, I don't care about hits," Clearwater manager Hector Santiago said later. "I'll let him get 5 hits in 5 at-bats if it means we get a win." Brad Holmes singled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and struck out in the 9th. In his season totals, Holmes has 7 home runs, .319 BA, .348 OBP, 59 RBIs and 49 runs scored. He has played in 92 games. |
