Jupiter Snaps Travassos Streak at 23 Friday, July 25th , 2025 Juan Travassos, center fielder for the Tampa Yankees, gave it a good try, but his time chasing history came to an end when he went hitless in 3 tries against the Jupiter Hammerheads. Not only did the Hammerheads break his 23-game hitting streak, they also beat Tampa by the score of 2-1. "Now that the streak has ended, I can admit I'll breathe a bit easier the next time I step up to bat," Travassos said, speaking with the media after the game. "It was tough because I put a little pressure on myself. Now that it's over, I will definitely be a little bit looser at the plate." So far this year, Travassos has hit .405 with 2 home runs, 19 RBIs and 26 runs scored. |
