Hits Galore: Holmes Drills 5 Hits Sunday, July 6th , 2025 Brad Holmes exploded for a barrage of base hits at Roger Dean Stadium. The Brevard County first baseman had a field day in his team's 17-3 triumph over the Palm Beach Cardinals, finishing 5-for-5. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Holmes must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Brad Holmes singled in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Andy Kelly in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 6th and singled in the 9th. So far on the season, Holmes is hitting .285 with 6 home runs, 39 RBIs and 34 runs scored. He has 78 hits and played in 68 games. View Boxscore |
