Peters Pitches Gem as Mets Beat Bradenton, 6-0
Friday, May 23rd , 2025
St. Lucie Mets starter Colt Peters really did a number on the Bradenton Marauders, shutting them out, 6-0, on 3 hits in a complete game victory. He issued no walks and had 7 strikeouts.
"We didn't have good at-bats," said Bradenton manager Miguel Montero. "I don't make excuses, but when we were playing the game, our energy didn't show. That comes from either extremely good pitching or extremely lousy hitting and seeing as our team has a bunch of good hitters, I have to tip my cap to Peters."
To date, Peters has a 2-0 mark in 2 starts with a 5.40 ERA. He has given up 21 hits in 23.1 innings, struck out 17 and issued 6 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .236 batting average against him.
