Flying Tigers Wins, 3-0, as Árias Mystifies Palm Beach Wednesday, August 23rd , 2023 Jesús Árias led the Lakeland Flying Tigers to a 3-0 shutout victory over the Palm Beach Cardinals at Roger Dean Stadium today. "My pitching coach told me before the game just to bear down and focus," Árias recalled later. "He said no one was going to hit me if I'm throwing a good breaking ball with good location." Árias yielded 3 hits and had 6 strikeouts and no walks in the standout performance. "I thought he put the ball where he wanted to," Palm Beach manager Dan Lowe said. "And that's just about the whole secret to pitching." Looking at his season stats, Árias has won 7 and lost 10, collecting 135 strikeouts and 39 walks in 156.2 innings with a 3.04 ERA.
