Hansen 5-for-8 for Pelicans Sunday, September 6th , 2026 Bob Hansen got the glory and the headlines, but the Lynchburg Hillcats left with the win. The Myrtle Beach center fielder easily handled the Hillcats pitching, going 5-for-8, but his Myrtle Beach Pelicans came out on the short end of the 7-6 score. Hansen told BNN reporters in the postgame interview he would happily trade "three or four" of his hits for a win. "Heck, maybe even all of them," he said with a laugh. "Right now, it just seems like one loss in a long season but who knows what it could mean at the end." Bob Hansen flied out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 9th, tripled in the 12th, grounded out in the 13th, singled in the 16th and walked in the 17th.
