Cook Wins CAR Player of the Week Honors Monday, July 27th , 2026 Not every ball that came off Andy Cook's bat last week was a line drive or a towering shot -- it just seemed that way to the teams that played the Salem Red Sox. For his exploits, Cook was named this week's Carolina League Player of the Week award. The Salem second baseman put up 12 hits in 24 at-bats and no home runs while hitting .500 with 2 RBIs and 7 runs scored. Thus far this year, Cook is hitting .500 with no home runs, 2 RBIs and 7 runs scored. |
