CAR Star of the Week Chosen Monday, May 11th , 2026 Steve McGuffie must have thought he was dreaming. First he went on an exceptional week-long batting spree, bashing the ball at a .611 clip, then the Potomac left fielder finds out he has been chosen the league's best performer and gets the CAR Player of the Week Award. He told BNN reporters in the postgame, "It was a great week for me. I could see the ball so well. Plus some of the balls seemed to have good eyes, too."
