Carson Selected CAR's Best Player
Wednesday, October 8th , 2025
At the age of 23, Beau Carson of the Carolina Mudcats could very well have his best years ahead of him.
It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2025 was good enough to win the center fielder the Carolina League Most Valuable Player Award.
"See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach."
The top hitter put up a .334 batting average this year, as well as a .377 on-base percentage. He played 120 games and racked up 167 hits, 34 doubles, 3 triples, 17 home runs, 68 RBIs and 81 runs scored.
He received 5 first place votes out of a possible 8. Shawn Simmons of the Carolina Mudcats finished second in voting with 3 first place votes, while Greg Reyes of the Carolina Mudcats finished third.
